Alkagesta, a commodity trading firm based in Malta, has secured a new $15 million credit facility. This development was reported by Ship & Bunker, citing an emailed statement from the company.
The new revolving inventory credit facility was arranged with Malta's FIMBank Plc. Following this agreement, Alkagesta's total credit facilities now exceed $1 billion, as stated by the firm.
Orkhan Rustamov, Alkagesta's CEO, commented on the agreement, indicating it represents a significant step in enhancing Malta's position in the global energy trade. This information was conveyed in the company's statement.
Rustamov further noted that the establishment of this credit facility is expected to bolster the firm's inventory strategy. He added that this would support global energy security by improving supply chain reliability and compliance.
