The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in the Republic of Korea has developed a draft Enforcement Decree and Enforcement Rules for the Act on Support for the Establishment of Green Shipping Corridors. This legislative move aims to advance green fuels and clean technologies within the maritime sector.
A public consultation period for these draft measures commenced on September 2 and is scheduled to conclude on October 13. This allows stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposed regulations.
The Green Shipping Corridor Act was initially enacted in 2026. The current development of enforcement measures indicates progress towards its full implementation and operational effect.
