Alkagesta completed a hub network stretching from Europe through the Middle East to Asia when it opened its Singapore office in 2025. Each hub had a function; Singapore, trading as Alkagesta Asia Pte Ltd, became the Asia-Pacific anchor.
Malta, where the company was founded in 2018, remained the base for governance and structured finance — letters of credit, insurance and relationships with 28 international banks. London and Geneva connected the business to capital and trading counterparties. Dubai served the Middle East. Singapore extended the same model to the region where much of global commodity flow now converged.
IPS News described the expansion as completing the network, and quoted board member Pierre Gay calling Singapore "a test of credibility." CEO Orkhan Rustamov told Fintech News Singapore that Singapore was "where Asian markets converge with global capital."
The integration showed in results. Ship & Bunker reported the Singapore marine fuels desk at 160,000 MT in November 2025 and 180,000 MT in December, against a 250,000 MT target. ScandAsia presented the five hubs as one integrated system, with EU governance applied end to end.
Alkagesta documented its local work in Alkagesta at Horizon Terminal Singapore, Jurong Island, published its regional outlook in Singapore Marine Fuels 2026: Supply Resilience, and announced the hub at Alkagesta Expands Singapore Commodity Trading Hub.
