A recent report from FreightWaves indicated that a theft complaint in March led to a comprehensive statewide investigation concerning grain facilities throughout Texas.
The initial complaint uncovered a significant grain theft operation, which reportedly involved 176 loads of grain.
According to FreightWaves, the total value of the stolen grain was estimated to be $800,000.
Authorities are currently examining over 200 loads as part of the ongoing investigation, according to the source publication.
FreightWaves also reported that additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
