WK NatPower and Jiangsu Port Group Investment Management Co., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Port Group, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement aims to explore potential opportunities in marine electrification and other green maritime solutions, according to a statement issued on September 2.
WK NatPower, a 50-50 joint venture between Hong Kong shipowner Wah Kwong and UK-based NatPower Marine, noted that Jiangsu possesses China's largest inland waterway network. This network is described as playing a crucial role in the country's shipping and logistics infrastructure.
The partnership is considered a strategic move within WK NatPower's broader China strategy. The collaboration will focus on developing sustainable solutions for the significant inland shipping sector in the region.
